The design modernizes an office with a traditional layout in a Neo-Gothic building facing Farragut Square in the central business district of Washington, DC. The traditional plan was modified by demolishing non-structural partitions while retaining several historic interior elements to provide an office that meets the needs of a 21st Century law group.
Open workstations and teaming areas line the front façade window bays, with additional offices near internal window wells and phone booths for private conversations. Painted dark ceilings and coordinated flooring selections unify the entire office space. Energy-efficient LED light fixtures increase lighting levels in the work areas without additional electrical loads.
