Civil Rights Corps 2

Wellness in the workplace: At Civil Rights Corps we incorporated plenty of natural materials and maximized daylighting and views for mental health. The reception desk is a composition of reclaimed wood, steel, and cast stone. We designed places to safely gather and collaborate in small groups. Also included are differentiated places to work solo. Open workstations and teaming areas line the windows, with additional offices on the interior and booths for private conversations.

Artwork and greenery in these spaces enlivens the environment and support the mission of the organization. Artist Jess Krimes is a grantee of the Art for Justice Fund. A formerly incarcerated Philadelphia-based artist, Jesse uses materials found in prison for his art. The quilt in the CRC space incorporates bedsheets, transferred photos, and court documents.
